Think of the forum as a large room with hundreds of people. When you post a topic....your screaming the topic. People that are interested will come over and discuss things with you (in the thread). If you have something personal to say, or specific to one person, you don't want to scream it out to everyone, so you send a PM or e-mail to them. Which will be like writing a note to someone. Anyway.....I've blabed on long enough.
