i got 63900 with atilla in a settler domination game, which i believe is the highest score in the HoF. with napolean in vanilla i managed > 50k.

Settler ruin + Upgrade ruin and win on turn 5 at Marathon speed Duel size Great Plains?

Where is the challenge? It can not be beaten unless one does the same and happens to do it in 4 turns instead, which probably has a chance to happen in (way) less than 1/100.000 attempts (personal estimation). Anyone who tries to beat that is insane :p

Just out of curiosity: Am I right? Did you settle on horses? If so on how many/how many where you able to sell/were you able to buy 1/2/3 additional tiles?

not at all. capturing your opponent's capital on turn 6 in marathon grants about 24k points. you'll need to look at how game hof score is calculated

Actually, a T0 Victory is possible. If the Minimum Distance is 4 Tiles and your warrior stays 2 tiles away from your settler (what usually happens) and there is open terrain you can capture the enemy settler. I have done that with CSs before. How much score do you think it would be? Might try that with regenarate Map.

I thought I knew... but I've seen strange results lately. Did it change compared to vanilla? I always thought this is how it works:

current points * (max turns / winning turn)

That has always been accurate for me, but not any longer.
My current attempt for e.g. was:

247 pts * (1500 / 9) --> 41167 points

However I actually ended up with only 35700 points :crazyeye:

Enlighten me please :help:

So everything between 0-29 should have the multiplier 100 (1500/15)?

35700 / 247 = 144,534413
35700 / 357 = 100

Guess that's it (probably had 357 pts with captured city/tiles, so they count too).
Thanks!

(that info is particularly useful when playing a score game where you maximize on cities+pop - in that case I used to calculate every turn if the next turn would produce more points than the higher multiplier (and just now I learned the multiplier doesn't even rise every turn :D))

So 63900 was achieved by having one of the following:
639 pts by turn 29 (multi=100)
1278 pts by turn 44 (multi=50)
2130 pts by turn 59 (multi=33.3)
2556 pts by turn 74 (multi=25)
3195 pts by turn 89 (multi=20)
3833 pts by turn 104 (multi=16.67)
4472 pts by turn 119 (multi=14.29)
5112 pts by turn 134 (multi=12.5)
5752 pts by turn 149 (multi=11.11)
6390 pts by turn 164 (multi=10)
...

5 self settled cities by turn 29 seems possible while probably yielding around 600ish points (with the captured enemy city).
Lets see if I can make that happen :D

Then again I'm not even sure now if your score was achieved on duel size, tiny seems just as possible (with 2 Rams instead of mass settlers)... maybe I should wait for the update to see what settings you actually played

that's not going to happen.
i captured 2 CS and got one settler via ruin before capturing opponent's capital in a duel great plains map. it's not clear that duel is the best setting.

Well, forget about it fellows.

Someone posted a 600kplus win!
