How do you take a screenshot?

No, no ... just hit prntscrn and it automatically saves the picture in My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\ScreenShots

There is a setting in the INI file that you need to enable in order for this to work. I don't recall whether this is enabled by default.

However, on my mid end system (that meets recommended settings :gripe:) very often it doesn't accept the key or doesn't work, because sometimes I do find the file in the dir, and sometimes I don't.

There's a second method: Pressing Shift+PrintScrn will give a naming dialog window allowing you to name the screenshot.

But if you use Shift+PrintScrn, also see this bug report.

I always wondered how to get the naming dialog to show up! Thanks for posting that :)

Thanks for the good tip : Kolyana.
I use the following tool : Hypersnap. It's a shareware and it's very powerfull!
