Recently I've started playing my 0.31 games and suffered "out of video memory" error pretty early in the game and the error became very frequent in early mid-game (around level 3~4 tech).
My PC is using ATI 3850 vidoe card with 512M of vidoe memory, running on XP system with 4G memory. I know the problem partially comes from the fact that I'm playing Huge map with 18 civs. But I have downgraded the video quality from High to Very Low.
And previously I had played quite a lot of 0.2x games using NVidia 6800GS vidoe card with 256M of vidoe memory. I was also playing Huge map with Very Low video quality but had never encoutered video memory problems.
I'm just curious if anyone has encounter similar issue as me. If possible I would like to know if the problem comes with ATI vs. NVidia cards, or 0.2x and 0.3x games, or it's some configuration issue(I know I messed up my ini file a bit when I tried to tune the performance).
