I tried the script and it does generate a europe-shaped map. Too bad the terrain is all over the place (no moutain range, jungle in central europe and tundra in greece..). I will try different parameters.

C2C has it's own latitude system which isn't accounted for. IIRC terrain was more natural on "Terrain - Smart Map" variants, but it can't generate C2C terrain yet, scipts' adaptation was strictly cosmetic. It's still great with other mods, latest versions are compatible with several terrain/bonus expanding ones, just not C2C. It's on the list, but doubt it's a priority.

Maybe you could truncate GEM instead.
