I like the Freedom Ideology, mainly because I am used to it.

Current game, Hiawatha beat me to it. Oh well, if I'm second I still get one free tenet.

However, Rome and the Shoshone had adopted Autocracy. By the time I was able to select Freedom, Hiawatha had been forced to adopt Autocracy via Revolution.

So I adopt Freedom and still get two free tenets. Obviously Hiawatha having beaten me to it but then changed didn't matter.

That's bold, taking an ideology of which one leader has already been forced to change, especially one that has so little happiness.

I prefer order in many situations, the science factories and spaceship engineers are just too good for me to pass up. Late game scientists are my best friend and spaceship engineers scientists usually come at a very nice time. Then obviously 5 year plan is ludicrous production and the 15% in your territory can become absurdly annoying stacked with other stuff. Socialist realism is copious happiness and hero of the people-- nothing unique there-- is still amazing. With Pisa, a garden, and national epic, you can be doubling your scientist output.
