Installing Bug with Steam Version of Civ IV

Okay, in favor of steamworks, I have decided to install the Steam Version of Civ IV over the disc version. A few questions.

There are two things I need:
Run it so that people can open my single player saves
Play with Bug Mod in Multiplayer with friends.

Previously, I run the BUG installer twice. The Single player install, so that people without BUG can open my saves.

Then I run the multiplayer install, to well, run it in multiplayer. Normally it would make a shortcut that says "Play Bug Mod" and everyone that is in the game needs to run this shortcut. But if Steam launches the game now, would that work?

Sorry to take so long to answer...

I think you would need to load BUG as a mod under Steam for multiplayer. I can;t be 100% certain. I never play multiplayer and my Civ4 version is not a Steam version.
