Iran Iraq War Mod+Scenario

Such a promising work, but no updates in 2 months. This is like walking 2 miles and then giving up on the last 300 yards.

My main concerns are bugs, like Historical Sites not being able to be improved, or strange issue with American transport ships... I can live with fictional sizes for cities for now :)

Keldath, I've updated the SVN version link in the first post. If you can help with any of the future additions such as merging, art, etc. please let me know.

I have several small mods I've already isolated, but haven't yet had time to merge (fresh water aquifers from RI, Great Doctor/Medic AI, Open Borders Commerce, Realistic Culture Spread, Rebuildable World Wonders, Tourism, Religion Affected Bonuses, & Treasury Interest)

cool stolen,

pm me with specific instructions that you want me to do in a pm.
ill be free to it tomorrow.

ps - fresh water aquifers? am i to understand it goves fresh water from improvements or something like this? cause if so i already got a working mod part like it.

cheers, well be in touch.

oh by the way - did you fix the advanced diplo problem you mentioned?

Haven't had a chance to fix the adv diplo problem yet. I've fully uploaded the IIW SVN.

I've got some merging requests. I'm gonna attach them one at a time. Please let me know if something isn't correct. I've already tested the mod out though. Can you merge Treasury Interest?

Hello good sir,

I just re-installed this CIV 4 and I found this KICK-ASS mod about the Iran-Iraq war.....

But for the last 10 hours i have been staring blank at my screen, because when i load the mod and start a game, there is no interface and no options menu.

This problem has been pointed out, a very long time ago, when the mod was updated, under post #167!!!

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=361854&page=9

But the solution has been left out..... how to fix this?
And why are there 2 DL files under the MOD link?
:crazyeye:
I couldnt find an answer going through most of the thread :crazyeye:

Looking forward to your response, so i can finally play the MOD

hmm wondering about what the problem is still. Try increasing the graphic settings to see what the problem is. Have you tried the new SVN download link. That is the most recent version of the mod.

In other news, I could really use some help in finishing the mod. I'm working on finishing the C++ portion of the mod by finishing the mod components/ai, etc. Keldath is helping me by merging the C++. I could really use some help in modifying some nifs to create non-fx units and freeze nifs, and a couple of goold warehouse buildings. I'm willing to trade C++ work for it as well.:)

I can not enter the options menu, and my screen is X-HD 1600x900.... i am running it on a vista tho, 32 bit.... sony vaio... HD Radeon 3400, 256mb video (its anchient hardware i know)

This is a repost of the image attached when you first dropped the 2012 update, i am using the 2013 update. I do have to add, i have the Complete package, so i put the MOD in the BTS/MODS folder.... and when i run the game, i start up BTS and not the COMPLETE link, because the complete civ4 .exe program crashes when it tries to load the MOD.

Recap.... my screen resolutions outside the game are 1600x900 and that is the highest
And inside the game, the MOD is set to a default of 1024x600 or something, but i can not even access the options menu.
The bottom line is, when i load the mod, and start a game, there are no buttons!!!

What is BUG? I did a clean install and i do have some MODS pre-installed, but.... somewhere you wrote, uninstall BUG? Which MOD is that? And is that one of those standard MODS that come with the complete expansion? I would love your help.....

And by now.... i found this....

What I mean is that you need to launch BTS with the "Run As Administrator" option even if you have an Adminsitrator-level account. There are several ways to do this. In my case, I chose to create a special shortcut for Age of Ice using the following method.

1) Navigate to your BTS folder in the Explorer.

2) Right-click on the icon for Civ4BeyondtheSword.exe and drag it somewhere (like the desktop); choose "Create Shortcut Here" from the menu.

3) Right-click the new shortcut and choose Properties.

4) Switch to the Shortcut tab then add the following to the end of the Target box:
Code:
 mod=\FfH Age of Ice
(Note there is a space before "mod")

5) Switch to the Compatibility tab and check the option "Run this program as an administrator"

6) Click OK. When you double-click that shortcut, BTS should run in administrator mode (you'll have an extra confirmation first) and automatically load Age of Ice.

Note that another common reason for getting no interface when launching a mod is that there is a conflict with some of your Custom Assets. In that case, you can open up the mod's INI file and set the option.
Code:
NoCustomAssets = 1

>>>>>>> and it still dont work.... imma try some stuff, would love 2 play it!

4 years after OP, you still working on it.... nice!!!
Honestly, some weird stuff happened, I downloaded 3 mods of this website, THIS mod, the "Iraqi invasion of Kuwait" and "Fall from heaven II"...
.... my computer started giving signs of internet slowing down, browser jamming and system crashes-blue screen.
and then, after i tried to be PRE-CAUTIOUS and reinstall my OS.....

My harddrive died!!! So, no chance of me playing this MOD.... regardless...

Tx for your hard work, i think the "Fall from Heaven II" mod must have been flawed.....
Keep doing your work OP and i hope you use your powers for good!

4 years after OP, the post is still alive

(didnt want 2 state anything, but it goes without saying >>> major system malfunction, then again, i was f* up my harddrive by formatting it OBSESSIVELY)

SALUTE. #ONE

How many major issues we still have with this mod?
