Issue with BNW

I just bought and installed Brave New World and now I cannot browse mods. Even if I disable the BNW dlc there is no button to browse mods. Does anyone else have this issue and how can you fix it.

Just open the Steam client, and browse the Civ V Workshop from there.

sounds like might be the old restart steam deal, where steam updates are required, or something like that.
