Hi, there!
I'm working on a map of Earth for Rise from Erebus (I'll probably just make a conversion of the regular old 18 civs Earth map from Vanilla Civ 4, with Fall from Heaven stuff sprinkled throughout) and I need some help. Namely, where to put the starting positions of the civs and the unique features. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Here's my plan so far:
For the civs:
Amurites: Southern Iran
Archos: Australia
Austrin: Great Britain
Balseraphs: France
Bannor: Spain
Calabim: Romania
Chislev: California
Clan of Embers: Northern Congo
Cualli: Mexico (Tenochtitlan)
Doviello: Northern Siberia
Dural: Central India
Elohim: Greece
Grigori: Eastern North America (Washington DC)
Hippus: Central Russia (Around Lake Baikal, north of the Mongol border)
Illians: Western Greenland
Khazad: Himalaya
Kuriotates: Cambodia
Lanun: The Caribbean
Ljosalfar: Eastern Brazil
Luchiurp: Israel
Malakim: Tunisia
Mazatl: Colombia
Mechanos: Sweden
Mekara Order: Western Russia (Moscow)
Scions of Patria: Rome
Sheaim: South Africa
Sidar: Japan
Svartalfar: Peru
Here's a sketch:
Regarding the unique features (which I want to be in the places of actual irl landmarks, or close to their corresponding civs):
Aifon Isle: Easter Island
Bair of Lacuna: ???
Bradeline's Well: ???
Broken Sepulcher: ???
Cliffs of Kelle: ???
Dragon Bones: ???
Foxford: Central Germany
Guardian of Pristin Pass: ???
Letum Frigus: ???
Maelstrom: ???
Mirror of Heaven: ???
Mount Kalshekk: Kilimanjaro
Odio's Prison: ???!!!
Pool of Tears: ???
Pyre of the Seraphic: Giza
Remnants of Patria: Italy
Ring of Carcer: Antarctica
Rinwell Isle: ???
Seven Pines: ???
Sirona's Beacon: ???
Standing Stones: England (Stonehenge)
Tomb of Sucellus: ???
Tower of Eyes: ???
Yggdrasil: ???
I would really appreciate help with the placing of the civs and the unique features, as well as any other tips for this sort of map that you good people might have. I will of course share the map once it's finished.
Thank you, and have a great evening!
