Merging Unit Statistics+My Mod

I'm having difficulty merging Unit Statistics with basically any mod. I'm currently trying to merge it with my Kuwait MOD. Apparently that have a different type of CvCustomEventManager. The mod gives an example file to convert your own CustomEventManager to work and a readme, but I can't seem to get them to merge/work properly. Sometimes I can get it to merge, but no statistics are recorded.

I've attached my mod's python file. All .py files are merged except the CustomEventManager files (there are 2 of them there). I would be grateful if someone could take a look at it and help out somehow.
