The First Annual Solid Weaponry Meeting
Chaired by the CEO Ivan Ginsof
“Greeting folks, I’d like to thank you all for coming to Solid Weaponry’s first annual meeting. For those of you who have been working with company in its first few years, it has been a great honour working with you so far, and I look forward to working with you in the future. For those of you who are new to the company, or considering about joining or investing, I’d like to welcome you as well, and I hope you like what you see.”
“Now as there are a number of people in the latter category, instead of having a year end review of last year, I’ll recap the companies development so far. Just after the end of the Great War, Noropini enacted the private company laws (OOC: Milarqui if you have a name you want me to change it too, let me know), several of my colleagues and I noticed that tensions are likely not gone after the Great War, and that there would likely be an opening in the military arms market, as each nation tries to recover strength in case new hostilities break out.”
“We weren’t the only ones to come to this conclusion, and so far it looks like KJJ arms will be a major competitor. But for now there is room for two, and I digress. Anyway, we started up Solid Weaponry to fill the vacuum, and we have been successful thus far. Our first weapon was the SWA-1 Assault rifle, which stands for Solid Weaponry Assault, is a basic infantry weapon, and it kick started our success with several deals with the Noropini Military. Our first factory was, and is working at full capacity.”
“Following our success there we looked at developing a new weapon, suited to Noropini’s current strengths, the sniper. The SWLRS, or Solid Weaponry Long Range Sniper, was our second weapon that has only recently gone into production. Featuring a solid design, we tested it in a number of conditions, and it has been proven to be able to withstand cold and hot, it is hard to jam, and when it does jam it is easy to clean. It has two scopes, 5x and 100x, and top of the line targeting sensors.”
“That is where we are today folks. We have recently acquired office space, as well as the testing facilities where we developed the SWLRS. We are hoping to expand our facilities here in Nishaya. Both the SWA-1 and the SWLRS are in full, production, and we are currently seeking out new deals and markets for both of them. We are also lobbying the government for help with the development of an placed infantry support weapon, but we shall see how that goes.”
“I would now like to invite Mr Lear Fischer, our lead marketing specialist to talk about possible deals for the future. Thank you Mr. Fischer”
“Thank you Mr. Ginsof. As you know, thus far all our contracts have been with Noropini military. It is my opinion that this should stay our primary market, for both logistics and patriotic reasons. That said, there might become a time where we need to expand our horizons to stay atop of out competition. My task of last few months was to see where we might expand to, should we get the chance. The first option is private markets. Despite the lack of practical use of our weapons, some people wish to own military grade weaponry. However the market there is quite limited. First there is the on going issue of gun control. Secondly in the aftermath of the Great War, many people wish to stay away from weapons and other tools of war. So far, a expansion into the private market without specific contracts would be untenable, but it is something to keep an eye on.”
“The second option we have is selling to other nations. The problem here is that exporting to our enemies might prove dangerous to our holdings at home. I for one wouldn’t like to see a lynch mob show up at our factory, or for our government o nationalize the unpatriotic sellers to the communists. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that we sell weapons and not consumer goods. That said, there are a few other options that wouldn’t bring down the wrath of Noropini down on us.”
“The first option is our allies, Eginis and Scotarcur. Of the two I favour Scotarcur. They are much more militaristic, and have a larger market for weaponry. They have a larger military than Noropini, and in the outbreak of war, they would likely be at the front. Given the chance, these guys are a natural expansion. Eginis is much smaller militarily, and thus have a smaller market for our weapons. While it might be economically tenable, and should hostilities break out again it would be a great PR move, there are better places to invest major time and effort.
“Outside out allies there is little room for expansion, at the moment. Most of the nations are our enemies during the Great War, and even given that we could make a deal, it would be unlikely our fellow citizens would look highly on the deal. The single exception to this is Lucitrica. They remained neutral throughout the Great War, and they already import a large amount of weaponry from various places. These guys are a natural, and although they aren’t our allies, given that they didn’t help their communist friends during the Great War, its unlikely they would get into a fight with anyone post war.”
“I will continue to monitor the situation. Given the healthy market for our goods in Noropini, it is unlikely we will expand out business for some times, and we may never build facilities outside Noropini’s borders. But we shall keep an ever-watchful eye out for opportunities. Thank you all, have a good night.”
“Thank you Mr. Fischer. That will be the end of this years meeting, and I hope to see you all next year, chock full of good news. Thank you and good night.”
To Blu Company
From Solid Weaponry:
We are looking to expand facilities in the near future. We were wondering if you would be capable of building a small factory in Nishaya.
To Noropini Military
From Solid Weaponry
We are looking to develop a new Emplaced Infanry Support Gun. Given that the Military is most intrested in such weapons, we were hoping we could get government assistance in creating and manufacturing such a weapon.
@Milarqui: What are the gun ownership laws in Noropini?
