Sorry, to bother you guys here, but I'm not getting much help in the main C&C forum. And, since my mod is based on your mod, I thought you guys might be able to help (if there is some kind of conflict between what I'm doing and your mod).

I've made some minor (to start with) modifications to civics (renamed some, moved some around to different categories, etc.). Everything looks good. But now I want to change my starting Government Civic to Chiefdom from Despotism (which is still in). Chiefdom is the old Theocracy (just changed the name and bonuses [no bonuses and no pre-req]) and is in the first position in the Government column.

I have changed the starting government tech in Civ4CivilizationsInfo from CIVIC_DESPOTISM to CIVIC_THEOCRACY for all civilizations. However, when I go into the game, Despotism (which is now position 2 in the Government column) is still highlighted as the starting government civic.

Can anyone help me change this?

Thanks!

Please see the original thread for the screenshot.

If you're folding in BAT, as well, you need to also define the civics in Assets\Modules\Varietas Delectat\XML\UnitArtStyles&CivInfos\VD_CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml.

They are also defined there, and will override the normal XML defines because modular loading is enabled. :)

Totally awesome! I really appreciate your response. I was very fortunate to have a response in the other thread I had created about this issue. It works now! :goodjob:

Btw, would you happen to know the answer to this question I posed in another thread:
I've successfully played a LAN game between the 2 computers of my home network using my own mod. At times it hasn't worked, but I found that (after I had made some minor modifications to my mod) I merely needed to recopy the mod from one computer to the other for it to work. The game showed up in the lobby, and all was well.

Now, I've made a pretty good handful of modifications. I transfered the entire mod folder over to the other computer (to make sure I got all the modded files), but when I go to start a game, it does not show up in the lobby.

I even tried deleting the entire mod folder and re-copying (to ensure no left over elements from my previous version were messing things up). No luck.

Would anyone be able to tell me why the game would not show up in the LAN lobby?

Thanks!

Thank you very much. :)

Excellent! :D

Unfortunately, I can't really answer that one, other than to say that I don't think that BAT is MP or LAN compatible. EF or ruff would probably know that better. Sorry.

I don't play multiplayer BTS, but Alerum and I tried to get a BAT INTERNET game working without success. You are doing LAN games, though. I don't know why it would work before but not now. Only make sure you all are using the exact same files, and it sounds like you are.

I knew there would be a sensible answer if we waited long enough. ;)
