National College Timing

So 7 turns later, WE have finished 3 workshops, and directed 3 hammer camels to stand up 4th city RIGHT QUICKLY, to punch out the NCollage; and with Caravansary Trade Routes, food camels are soon to follow .

Now that Our basic infrastructure is in place; WE are commissioning 6 new coastal cities for manpower and building slots, to Launch Our navy in huge numbers; rather 1 or 2 at a time .

Having stolen Machinery tech from Morgan; WE expect some retaliation, in what form, is yet to be seen . Cbows are being upgraded to Longbows while new Longbows are being built, along with Pike and Knights . As Our land forces grow to Properly assert Our Glorious Destiny, WE shall not shirk Our defenses, while a navy gets built . Rumors of new resources and Wonders have reached Our ears, rife with Opportunity; and WE are interested in them .

NCollage is a great item to have, usually by 5th city (yeah, it's blasphemous), yet circumstances like starting dirt, neighbors, locations of Lux's, Natural Wonders, and strategic resources, tempt a roll of LOKI's 7 sided dice, offering Disaster and Opportunity in THAT 1 tile/area.

Got barbs or nasty AIs close ? How many units do you need for defense ? How many units CAN you build (manpower cap) ? These outer questions can/will affect/aflict/influence your build orders; however many cities you have . Some Civ's and modded Civ's have/give +s for large #s of cities; Carthage, Australia, etc.

Do you have the timing to 'take a breather' to build a NWonder ?? Got trade routes to send to a targeted city; or a GEngineer for the job ??

Coastal cities are NICE, if you can get them; ya go with what ya got, to do the job .

Some games I have won without any National Wonders, having plonked down 40+ cities to crush my foes !!
