New to AoE questions

I'm starting this mod with some friends and after looking through the civilopedia for a lot of the changes I'm still left with a ton of questions.

I was able to look up what emergent leaders are and i think i understand how they work. But what about the important leaders or whatever that category is? I see no current mention of how they work.

Is there any big list of all the changes from FfH2 or a discord where i can ask questions?

Important Leaders are leaders who start with one base trait, and can gain a couple more during gameplay based on their actions. (Contrary to Emergent which have a trait that can level up based on their actions)

Edit : To clarify , the traits important leaders have access to are normal traits (like cultural, philosophical) while emergentget one exotic levelable trait
