No Leader Name Game won't run

Kept getting the mods error so I clicked on the delete all mods box. The game started and then hangs because it can't find the leader name. I uninstalled/reinstalled the game and have no mods selected and it just sits there with the leader picture. I had no problems with the game before the latest patch and it's now unplayable.
