Never apologize! The series was made primarily to help people learn, and there's no time limit on that. The only issue might be that you get more comments on current games than on old ones.
As it happens, I completely agree with you. IMHO, the series is meant both to help those who (i) wish to learn the game and, most importantly, (ii) simply want have fun playing civ. And theres no time limit on either of those two things. I included the apology simply to head off the why the thread necro brigade, whose members sometimes make an appearance in these parts...but, thanks to you,won't in future.
