Palace cost only 100 shields ? <- Seems like a Civpedia typo/mistake... ?!?

Hello,

I noticed how a player was building the Palace, I was like hmm.. only a few more turns... I was wondering how he build it so fast, but he was probably building it a looonngg time.

However the civpedia shows the palace only costs 100 shields, so in accelerated production on it would only cost 50 shields.

So with a capital with say 10 blue shields, it would be build in only 5 turns !

Well that's definetly not the case ! I took more like 29 turns for a city with 15blue shields.

So ??? a typo/mistake in civpedia ???

I am a bit confused

(And no I am not talking about the forbidden palaca, I am talking about the Palace ! )

It will always cost you more than 100 shields to build the palace, regardless what the civilopedia says. Here is the full article about how the shield cost is calculated.

the cost depends on number of cities you have. And the number of cities needed to reach maximum cost (1000) depends on map size.

100 shields is the base cost.
