Penalty for accepting an invitation to declare war

If you asked to DOW on a nation by another nation is the penalty much less than if you do it yourself?

I don't think it matters whether you accepted invitation or declared war on some other purpose.

Just tell anyone who don't like it to take a long walk off a skyscraper. Then they will dow you and you get to have more wars :3

No diplo penalty for DOWing the "nuisance" early(except the warmonger hate for DOWing a civ) as the civ in question wont ask you in 10 turns time, unless you have made peace. You only get a negative diplo modifier if you change your mind, so bear that in mind if you dow early and make peace within the 10 turn time-frame.
