Let's talk Michelle.
Rev 6:7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
Welcome to LizNES6, Fortune Favors the Brutal. This is a world that has reached the breaking point, and has ever so slowly come back from it. This is a world ravaged by plague, war, poverty and political failures. This is a world that will forever change in your hands. Pick your nation, pull it from the fires of hell, and craft it into your own weapon.
The world as we knew it was racked by plague, followed by economic collapse in the early 21st century. Society itself soon collapsed, and finally, after 100 years, people are picking up the pieces of what was. Old nations born again, and new ones created out of thin air.

For the first 4 turns of the NES, rather then doing a 'normal' update, I will be doing 20 year BT's, to further the story of the NES from the plague, as that isn't the focus here. Rather, the focus is leading your very own, customized nation. The first 80 years is the time you can set your nation up. Chose your government, customize your culture- after all, this is your nation.
For the BT's, your orders are to simply be posted in thread, with

Spoiler :
tags around them. The BT's are your chance to expand, grow your economy and consolidate yourself, not make war with your neighbors, alliances, and other more secretive stuff. As a matter of fact, these orders should be fairly short, and vague. Highlight what you'd hope to accomplish, where you want your nation's focus to be at.
Here is an example of the BT stats.
The higher the focus you put on certain things. Only one of the above can have the 'Highest' focus, and one can have a 'High' focus, etc. How long you keep these focuses will effect, for one, your culture, and two, your in game stats once the NES begins. The government stats now are also highly standard, and most nations as simply Republics, or Monarchies. If you want something highly specific, such as a Soviet Republic, or a.. Theocratic Oligarchy, you will want to focus on changing that for the first 4 updates, same thing with nation names. All nations start with 'Low' Focus for everything. You have to dictate the change, or I'll end up dictating it for you.
New nations can and will arise, and their actions and viewpoints will be highly effected by your in game actions. For example, if you decide to use your military to expand your borders aggressively, don't be surprised if you find yourself surrounded by a lot of unfriendly neighbors. If you're a good trading partner, fair, and have a good reputation, you very well might have some new allies around you.
In terms of game expansion, you can chose places you'd like to exert control over, and describe how you'll do it, but there are no promises. This world is still very much populated, and not everyone is looking to join your nation. With that, don't be surprised if your nation breaks up to any extent, especially if you're a larger one. Be careful with expanding, and don't bite off more than you can chew, I suppose.
A new, 'normal' NES thread will be posted after the first update. For the first update, seeing as this is new, I will make the BT order deadline Friday. If you have already called a nation, you can claim it here. If you're new, welcome, and thanks for playing! PM me if you have any questions.
