Question about PBEM code of conduct

OK a guy in one of my PBEM's dropped out because i suggested we get someone to play his turn since it had been his turn for a few days and he was nowhere to be found. Naturally he respondeds the next day and says that he drops out and i shouldn't talk because i took so long (had troubles getting the 2194 gigamap version to work)

So what is your opinion?

Sounds like a communication problem, if he couldn't play for a few days he should have let everyone know in the PBEM. And the same goes for your self.

But if someone cant take a bump after 48 hours they probally shouldn't be playing.

i was responding when i couldn't get it to work, posted about half a dozen times before they got it fixed.

Then I think you we doing exactly what you were supposed to do. There is always two sides to a story but it sounds like the other guy needs to be a little more polite.
