Turn 4 continued -
Trades:
Greece will give Masonry, The Wheel, BW, and 27 gold for Writing.
France will offer the same deal, except she only has 6 gold.
I make the trade with France on the theory that we can get more gold from Greece.
Both AIs have IW and Math; I trade Writing for IW and 8 gold to Greece.
We really need more contacts.
We have horses near the capital, but no iron is visible.
Tlatelolco: Warriors
1400 BC (turn 5) -
Just a bit of exploring.
Tenoch: Jags
Teoti: Workers
1375 BC - moving units. France complains about our exploring Warrior.
Greeks are building ToA.
1350 BC - Switch Texcoco to Worker (we need it more than we need two citizens there).
Tenoch: Jag > Settler
Teoti: Worker > Curragh
1325 BC - Jag kills wandering Barb.
Yellow borders spotted near France.
Warrior notices Barb horseman. Shuffle units to cover Worker and lux to 10% to compensate. Cross fingers, and...
that horseman kills a vWarrior
Another horseman comes out of the fog and ambushes our Worker roading the Horses
Tlatelolco: Warrior > Jag
Texcoco: Worker > Curragh
1300 BC - lux to 0%. Jag kills Barb Horse. Phil in 6 turns.
Tlaxcala settled W of Tlatelolco. Making Warrior.
Meet Egypt. Amazingly, she lacks Writing!
Unfortunately, all we can get is CB for it -- Math is too dear for that trade, and she's dead broke.
IBT - Jaguar explorer is ambushed by two Barb Horsemen. The second kills him
1275 BC - Warrior kills Barb Horse threatening Tlatelolco.
vJag takes 25 gold from a Barb camp NE of the horses.
Change Tlatelolco to Archer
Tenoch riots
I stupidly forgot to check for those. Sorry, guys
1250 BC (Turn 11 of the set,
Turn 70 in the game) -
Exploring Jaguar ends on a mountain and spots barbs. I hope he can survive the horse attack that's sure to come on the IBT.
Handing off... keep your fingers crossed for a CoL trade!
