Hey guys I had never seen this, but i was just curious if others already knew it:

I just got a military great leader from a land unit's lethal land bombardment.

Like I said, I've never seen this in YEARS of playing.

Some followup questions:

Would this have worked from a lethal sea bombard? What about if I had killed an air unit with the bombard?

I guess thats it; I just wanted to put it out there cause it was so unusual to me.

Hmm, this could make the Ion Cannon Satellite a bit impractical.

That is pretty unusual. I might have got this once or twice years back with Elite Hwach'as, but I'd forgotten it was possible even if I had.

It would have to be only for land units, since leaders can't walk on water, but I don't know if it would work if you, say, sunk a ship with a Hwach'a (I know I've never gotten a leader that way, but I haven't sunk very many ships with Hwach'as!). Ares de Borg, do you if this is possible?

I used to play Korea a lot because of H'wachas (sp) and yes they can produce GLs.

King Coltrane... yes this is what EFZI2 uses to gain Great Leaders that upgrade to Champions
Works extremely well and the AI Upgrades them too.
