Currently each turn your gossip pops up - sometimes several lines worth - and you don't always get to read them all, especially if something else takes priority and appears over the top.
A mod to make a smaller more permanent window show them for the turn would be nice. This could then have a longer fade or a click off Change the font to something smaller/better contrast as well. Off to the side - perhaps upper right corner - would mean the centre isn't covered at the start of turn.
