Ever since seeing comments on Youtube complaining about certain wonders not being in Civ6, I thought of making this thread. The 38 contenders in this game are those Wonders which have previously been in a Civ game but have yet to be seen in Civ6. I left out Wonders like Copernicus’ Observatory, Cure for Cancer, Darwin’s Voyage, Newton’s University, etc. for obvious reasons. I also included wonders which were planned to be added to the games, but left out (Panama Canal, Large Hadron Collider). I've also left out National Wonders, the religious shrines in Civ4, and Motherland Calls (due to its copyright).

The objective is to eliminate wonders you are not interested in returning and upvote those you want to return.

Standard Forum Elimination Game Rules:
1) Every 24 hours, you add 1 point to one Wonder you want to see and subtract 3 points from a Wonder that you are less eager to see return.
2) Each Wonder starts with 20 points. First Wonder eliminated takes last place, and so forth. Last surviving contender takes the Gold!
3) Give a reason each time you vote for why you chose as you did.
4) Don't comment in the thread unless your post contains your daily votes.
5) Don't get upset because Wonder X wasn't included or because Wonder Y was. This is based purely on those Wonders which have already been featured in prior games.

Angkor Wat (20+1)=21 We need a Southeast Asian wonder, and this is one of the best choices. It could be added when the Khmer or another mainland SE Asian civ is added.

I never knew that the Panama Canal was once thought to be a wonder, this is news to me. I am thinking what made the developers give up on this idea.

Panama Canal was planned to be added to Civ5, they had the model and art for it. I guess they couldn't find a way to implement it in the game.

38 choices. This is going to take a very long time.

Angkor Wat 22 (21 + 1) This was such a joke in Civ V that I think it deserves another chance to shine. Something related to border expansion might actually be decent this time around, with land in higher demand for districts and wonders.

To quote Wikipedia: "By the end of Mansa Musa's reign (early 14th century CE), the Sankoré Masjid had been converted into a fully staffed Madrassa (Islamic school or in this case university) with the largest collections of books in Africa since the Library of Alexandria. The level of learning at Timbuktu's Sankoré University was superior to that of many other Islamic centers in the world. The Sankoré Masjid was capable of housing 25,000 students and had one of the largest libraries in the world with between 400,000 to 700,000 manuscripts")

While I REALLY hate the Civ6 tourism system conceptually (seriously, how do tourists visiting the louvre make you win? The cultural victory in vanilla Civ 5 made sense, your government and culture got so advanced that you figured out how to create a utopia. Fair enough. The BNW system made some sense, your culture had integrated so much that you effectively assimilated the whole world to being extensions of your culture. A bit abstract but fine. Now it's just "have a lot of people vacation at Yellowstone and you win"... what? How am I winning?) a tourism victory without one of the biggest drivers of modern tourism just seems weird. I know America already has film studios but still. Plus it would allow for a "Bollywood" achievement.

Adding the CN Tower?... what, and giving those syrup drinking moose riders even more likelihood of being included?! I'd sooner burn down a puppy farm! Next to an orphanage! And the puppy farm is also a gingerbread factory!

Also, I would love the idea of being able to build wonders such as Machu Picchu on mountain tiles, so that otherwise unworkable mountain tiles gain some additional usage. The cost of wonders removing a workable tile from a city is sometimes quite harsh.

Prora... okay, here we have a "wonder" that was never even finished, wasn't techologically or architecturally impressive even for its time, and had no cultural significance besides being a (planned) crummy beach resort for lower middle class factory workers to distract them from the monotony of labor and generally poor standard of living in Nazi Germany. Wow. Such wonder. Very impress. Wow.

I don't think Sean Bean will ever live up to the wonderful line readings done by William Morgan Shepard or Leonard Nimoy (mostly because of the terrible direction he's being given. *Cough* Mt Kilimanjaro's line still makes me hack up blood in sheer anger *cough*) but I would love to hear the wonderful Iliad line again. Also the statue itself was an amazing feat of artistic achievement and inspired many modern day monuments.

For four reasons: 1) I do not know if a dam would work well occupying a tile. 2) It would come too late. 3) There are better options of chinese wonders to be included, such as the Porcelain Tower, for example. 4) And even if you think of including a dam as a wonder, Itaipu Dam is a better option: first because it would come earlier in the game, secondlyi t is the largest clean energy generator in the world, Itaipu already was elected one of the 7 wonders of modern engineering alongside the Empire State Building and the Golden Gate Bridge, and Itaipu can sometimes surpass Three Gorges in energy production. Perhaps even Hoover Dam being a better option than Three Gorges, in my opinion.
