Hey,I have a idea what about a Rhye's and fall of Civilization modmod about South and Southeast Ansia?I will post a poll and other information later.
Timeline:350 BC-1800 AD.
This should be the map.

Someone's already doing RFC India, I think, but I have been thinking that doing southeast asia by itself would be interesting.

Technically RFCIndia is just an elaborate idea I had, I don't have any spare time to learn how to make an RFC modmod myself. But I did have another idea for an RFCSouthEast Asia, but I decided to show my idea for RFCIndia instead

Ah okay...

More generally though, it might help to start by selecting a region first, and then letting its history determine the civs in your mod. After that, select the more interesting (aka violent) civs and eras, and check that it's all historically coherent. At least, that's my plan

I think the eastern border of your map could be moved a little more to the west. There's not much reason to include New Guinea and Australia because even Majapahit didn't expand there significantly.

Australia will not be on the map.
The most western tip of New Guinea will be on the map.

^^^Agreed. Everything east of Timor and the Phillipines is largely irrelevant.

And be sure to use this. It will save you a huge headache.

DON'T work off regular RFC. Adapt off of SoI. It will help you in the future, I guarantee it.

Also, I'd recommend extending the map westwards to include more of Pakistan/ Afghanistan.

Why?If you want that the "Indus valley civilization" is added,that is not possible.
It would be the only civ in the game until the Maurya and Sri Lanka rise.
There is no other interesting civilization there and I already maked the map,I'm currently adding the civilizations and leader to the game.

Um, Indo Greeks? Ghorids? Kushans? Mauryans (expanded into there)? Indo Scythians?

EDIT: And although I am also against the Indus, what about the Mahajanapadas afterwards?

Maybe later,but not now,I already maked the map and I'm busy with adding civilizations and leaders.
If the mod is released then we can start working in adding that civs...
I need somebody who is good in finding Unique Units,Unique Buildings and Unique Powers for civilizations,because I need some help cause I'm not good at finding them.

I have just completed the map,I have not the patience nor the time to make a new one.
So no Indo-Greeks and other civs there.

I rarely check out the modmods sub-forum except for some mod like RFCA

Long time ago before DoC add Indonesia, I am wishing for someone that create a RFC for South Asia, which is happening now \(^_^)/
