Richard Burns is dead

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's 2001 world rally champion Richard Burns has died after battling against a long illness since he was diagnosed with a brain tumour two years ago, according to the Times newspaper's Web site on Saturday.

According to the report, Burns died peacefully on Friday. He was 34.
