Sorry, but the question was just begging for me to give a smartypants answer. I spent a whole summer's internship poking holes in semiconductors. It was a bit time consuming, and I accidentally burned myself with hydrochloric acid once, but at least I put in my two cents towards resolving one of life's great riddles. Water should not cost more than gas!
