I'd take Stalin's penultimate city and sign peace for feudalism.

I'd eliminate Darius.

I'd settle a couple more cities and send out spare troops to go conquer barb cities.

I'd infiltrate Bismarck and steal nationalism in some turns, followed by guilds. Meanwhile finish gunpowder, hoard cash for a 100% run on MT when nationalism is stolen while proceeding chemistry.

Switch back to slavery before GA finishes.

Went for it.

The spying business went rather rotten, otherwise all went more or less as planned.

So first spy just vanished, I guess he just got caught without me even noticing. The second spy went up to 40% discount and then the time was right to get nationalism, but failed despite 89% chance. :gripe: Had a third emergency spy about ready, took 2 turns to get into place but he failed too. Actually at that moment Asoka had nationalism too and was willing to trade it, which I did. Got nationalism and guilds for astro and lib. That was just now this turn. So we have full EP over Bismarck still and can see all his city builds, but got no useful techs from it. :( However, we can at least see he hasn't even started Taj yet, so we could try for that. However, if we pop a non-GS from Pork Chop (about 65% chance) we'll have two GPs for a GA. We got a GS from Cahokia 2 turns ago.

Anyway, we can now start on MT and do it in 3 turns, or first finish biology. Guess I'd go MT, already sustained delay on it thanks to our poor 007s. We self-teched gunpowder, chemistry and about half of bio.

We indeed got feudalism from Stalin after capturing his penultimate city and we saw the demise of Darius. Captured a barb city and founded two more cities (one at a gold resource we don't have yet). A galleon with some units is on the way to Zapotec. Kremlin is finished and we're back in slavery. First forest preserves are done.

I landed a unit in orange India to go meet Japan, but the borders had changed so didn't meet him. It actually looks a bit impossible to meet him without first capturing an Indian. :eek: He's practically enclosed in a mountain chain. We'll need forts on Indian soil to ship units to him! However, there seems to be an easy route from Delhi through Pataliputra towards Satsuma, which has a hill-pasage. It would require a fort SW of Pataliputra.

We definitely want to take the purple India asap to give us access to Toko via Pata like you said, 1 fort and we can drop troops at Satsuma.

If we got the free GM from Economics would it make a difference in any way? Can we bulb something necessary or use it to start another GA? Banking is only 1 turn, so probably 3 to Econ. It may not be worth it.

I think we will be slowed down by conquering more than by tech rate, so I think we should focus on taking out the other northern continent without tripping the domination limit.

I want to prep 6 Galleons, 5 with Cuirs and 1 with a few defending units. I want to attack Delhi next so we can access Japan asap. Follow along galleons and units also of course as we are pretty much war from here imo. Attack Delhi > Pata with follow along units taking the island city Hyderbad and Madurai to fully cripple Gandhi.

Research Military Tradition > Bio > Physics (bulb part if we get another GS)

If we get a different G Person I would jump right back into another GA and maybe switch to Caste, Police State and Nationhood to speed troop production.

Just realized that if this game had "No City Razing" it would be much more difficult.

Basically build troops every where or wealth. Try to build Taj I guess in Persepolis as I would prefer Eyeland to stay on navy for a while.
 
It looks like Turbo Ants finished. :eek: Instead of the projected 3 centuries it looks like they will beat us by 5 or 6. :lol: I guess they went with the AP and a cunning bulb path.

Go for it Ronnie. After Bio I would rather just tech medicine, it's the only critical thing left to tech. After that, with redundant research maybe just go towards rifling.

Also I would stay in slavery. With the Kremlin whipping will be far superior to caste for getting more troops out. You can be rather merciless with our tech objectives nearly done. I'd only spare cities that significantly contribute to tech while we need it. I already got some extra stables in some places for our cuir spam.

If you don't get the right GP from Pork Chop, try getting one from another city.

As I guess I'm the only one available, I got it. If someone else feels like late game hammering, chime in. If not, maybe I'll just play on until the end.

Basically kill-em all, but Germany. We need some settlers to replace cities and have better control over domination. Probably get one to replace Pataliputra to be able to work on the fort sooner. Well, obviously not playing for the laurels here anymore, just to get it over with. With decent final pop we might be able to dodge the spoons on score.
 
I had some time this afternoon so played on. Away from the comp, so no upload.

Anyway, it's 1490AD and both Indias are dead, while Japan is reduced to 1 city. However, it's off shore in the northern arctic and of course no way to reach it other than from former Japan itself.

So the idea is to switch to US and environmentalism to rushbuy boats. However, 3 turns of anarchy. :(

If I read the discussion thread right, the counter will start when all civs have enviro, so that's when Toku is dead. That should be 4/5 turns from now. That should give time for some extra preserves at least in former Persia.

So we're heading for a 1550AD win or somesuch. I have quite some settlers ready for final land push.
