Simultaneous turns issue

Hi!

I've been playing Civ 4 BTS with a friend recently and with the simultaneous turns box ticked. However, even right at the start of the game without wars, it doesn't work. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

Sorry if this gets asked a lot- I can't find anything about it.

Your post is too unspecific. What doesn't work? Can you describe what you are doing and what is happening/not functioning as expected.

Simultaneous turns wasn't working, but since playing with a different friend last night where it did work, I think it might have just been the others bad laptop/internet that was causing delays.

I have done a lot of multiplayer civ 4 with my family with simultaneous turns and I have had this issue. Restarting the computer and the game usually fixes it. Our best guess is also that it is a combination of poor connection and older computers.

In my experience, the issue usually shows itself right at the beginning of the game so restarting with a new start doesn’t hurt much.
