So now can you attach a military unit with a worker or settler?

After all the patches... I just looked over all the patch notes on the 2K thread for all released patches and didn't find anything. Anyways I remember being shocked that you couldn't do that when I tried the demo at release last year. So is this possible yet?

I said it would be nice, not a priority or a must have :)

Yes, an escort ability not just for workers and settlers but also for great generals and other great people would be great. Don't know why some people are grumbling bitterly against the idea of introducing such a useful feature, which many people like me would use in every single game they play.

How about simply bringing back "Go to (all units)" to move all units from one hex simultaneously and via the same path?

Although the pathfinding has gotten better, so I find that at least goto with the same destination and same start square are the same path.

yea really there's so much more the game still needs, or better things they could add. Lazy human doesn't want to manually escort settlers? Not a high priority at all.

There is always more that could be added. That's entirely not the O.Ps point.

Games are supposed to be fun. Any addition that streamlines repetitive repetitive repetitve processes is good.

What the hell does lazy have to do with steamlining? So pushing an extra button is what marks the threshold between honest exertions and just plain idle slacker?

Too lazy to push a button?

I guess the irony of calling someone lazy while playing a computer game ecapes you?

Well I haven't decided if there are any *other* UI improvements I would like, because I don't play the game. Because I haven't bought it. Because not including an escort option, like the previous Civ games, really turned me off from the demo. And of course the many bug reports at the time.

So that's missing, and apparently many many other desired features are as well. Guess it's still a no buy for me then.

i see no reason to implent this except for MP part cose of the possibility to catch a great general while moving your troops. so you rather need 2 units to cover him. but for SP, which i guess your talking about i really see no reason to do this.

To protect settlers and workers which have different amounts of movements points than military units. Especially workers, who move about the map on autopilot, and used to get captured before I started using the feature in Civ 4. I really see no reason not to do it.

You do NOT want to move them together, you fools! You move the escort FIRST, checking that the way is clear; THEN move the non-military unit. :)

It's simply annoying to send settlers or GG with the army over the map and to micromanage every move, because the settler moves quicker and the GG will go around an worker.

If you are fast enough, you can move both GG and military unit at same time. You just need a bit of lag lol
