Some questions about Pitboss server

Hi! I have a spare computer and I am thinking about launching an open dedicated Pitboss server (configured with smtp too) with the features:

- Disable wininng by time
- Disable winning by killing every other player
- Last until all your units and cities are destroyed
- Turns 48 hours
- No DLC (so anyone can play)
- Hybrid

I was thinking about launching the server on fridays afternoon until sunday nights. Is it possible to save a Pitboss game and turn off the computer and turn on other day without any problem?
Since there are A LOT of problems with CIV 5 (in fact, I can not join to any of the Pitboss games listed), does it works?

I already tested it, but found that people join to the game and later don't play. Absurd.

Last until you destroyed but cannot win by destroying... Why players should care about destroying each other if it is not a winning path?
