Edit: Missed the new post on the front page that answered this question. So ignore.
I have not played in a few months (got addicted to Surviving Mars and Mass Effect Series) and I know there was quite a few changes, were any map scripts changed? I remember seeing a post about which map script was up to date several months ago but can not remember where it went.

Scripts themselves? Not that I'm aware of. Scenario maps have all had to update a time or two recently.

I don't really play the scenarios, I like being able to customize my experience completely.

i always play the custom game, less ocean and more barbarians.

the main issue with the game was that after gunpowder era, the AI armies became weak. however it seems to be fixed as now I am seeing AI strike with nukes, hitech robots and drop ships.

I always use Pangaea smaller maps, more of a challenge. No water to serve as a buffer zone, so their armies can literally march right up to you. Plus lets not forget the stealth units that they use, with no water separating you they really target you sometimes.
