Has anybody checked the SetStrategicViewOverlay called by the function OnOverlaySelected in the MiniMapPanel.lua?
My poor tracking capabilities end there. Where, and how, for example, the trade routes overlay gets generated?
It would be nice to add one extra item to the "Active Overlay" pull down menu to have a dot-mapping overlay for cities placement.
Why use hex paper when the StrategicView has already got the map and the hex grid on it?
All is needed, is to add a layer where we can fill tiles with different colours, or have a choice of 2-tile or 3-tile radius stencils to apply to the overlay layer.
