[Vanilla] Stuck on the Intro Screen

Been playing Civ for decades....Never had this problem before. Running on my 1Pad Pro and think this started when I was playing a game and did not close the game. That eve iOS17.3 updated and that is when the problem started...I now cannot get into Civ VI to conquer the worlds! This is the screen shot I can not get past. Any suggestions?

Did you try to completely shut down your computer before trying again ?

It was the iPad, not the Mac Version...I shut down and restarted the iPad several times...

So you were playing and suddenly your OS updated ?

(I don't know how iPads work : Windows used to updates when shutting down only)
