The following amendments were proposed and discussed in this thread, but voting died off before a conclusive result was reached.

1.4
Teams may not contact each other until they have met in-game. Meta-game conversations in the UN are exempted (such as votes on rule-set amendments ;) )

1.5
Teams are not allowed to play ahead on a downloaded version of the current save (that includes any and all actions).

2.2
In the event the game is reloaded to a previous point in time for any reason, each team must faithfully recreate any in-game actions they took after that point, to the best of their ability. Teams are encouraged to keep an explicit log of actions taken to facilitate the best recreation possible.

All teams, please record your vote for each amendment, even if you already voted in the other thread. The polls remain open until a decisive result is reached.

Team Saturn unanimously voted a month ago to approve all of the above amendments. :)

Same for team cavalieros.

Does that mean people can potentially look at the whole map?? Is there no way to stop this other than just trust?

They can't play anything else than the current turn (since they need the other team's pw's to play further). However even moving just the units in the current turn can have a great effect(on the extreeme side think of what intel a commando gunship can give).

The Mad Scientists approve of 1.4 and 2.2.

The Working Group assigned to evaluate 1.5 hasn't issued their findings yet.

I don't think there should be much trouble with this rule. Sure, it's theoretically impossible to know whether one player on a team has played ahead in the save or not. However, if one player on a team is making posts which show that they have knowledge beyond the current situation, I think we can trust that the rest of the team will weed them out. Perhaps the odd player might not play completely to the rules, but certainly when there's an entire team watching what's going on, something like advanced knowledge of turns is not going to slip by. So I'm not at all worried about the rule being abused, because it's not really feasible in a team game. ;)

... Still, there is no harm done by accepting the amendment, right? So there's nothing to lose. The decision shouldn't be too hard then...

Discussion sort of died out on this one in the Mad Scientist's forum, but there were no dissenting opinions offered. So Mad Scientists APPROVE.

Indeed, I agree completely. :)

Well SANCTA just voted to approve in the original thread, so all five teams are in favor. Now we just need the Chair to bang the gavel and declare the motion carried ;)
