Demogame rules

Judicial Department - Term 2

The purpose of the Judiciary is spelled out in Article C of our constitution:
Code:
3. The Judicial Branch will be formed of three Leaders and is tasked
with verifying legality of legislation, interpreting rules, and
determining when violations occur. Each also has a specific
      area of additional responsibility.

      a. The Chief Justice is the overall head of the Judiciary and can
fill in for either lower position. The Chief Justice is
responsible for maintaining the legal books of the country
and the mechanics of Judicial Procedure.

      b. The Judge Advocate functions in a role of prosecution and
attorney to the state when allegations of rulebreaking have
         been made.

      c. The Public Defendant functions in the roll of defense for any
         and all accused citizens.

One day in, and we already need to correct the Constitution!

Notice section c... I'm sure we don't have a roll of defense for the public defender, no matter how hungry he is. ;)

I wish we had a roll of defence! Anyway, this is the Public Defender, reporting for duty.

I think the funnier thing is public defendant instead of public defender!

Congrats to donsig, bootstoots and Fionn!

So, let me get this straight...

The defendant's job is to defend the defendant? Ummm, ok....

:D

I think that we need to set a quorum and/or time limit rule for polls, so that there are no debates over whether a given poll is legal or not. My proposal is to have no quorums, but to have a rule that makes sure that all binding polls stay open for at least 48 hours. If we were to agree on a quorum, it should be one-third or less of the 68 people who voted in the Presidential election.

BTW, this is the two-month anniversary of my joining CFC.

Since there has been absolutely no discussion on this for the past six days, I will poll this proposal fairly soon.

BTW, Eight more posts to go!

Congratulations donsig on your term as Chief Justice.

The electorate has chosen wisely.
