Hello everyone,
Ive attached a mod / map script based on Terra with some modifications. The core is basically unchanged - everyone starts on the old world and there is a new world to be discovered. What I have done (among other things) is to allocate some luxuries to be exclusively available to the new world (4 types) so that it kind of gives an incentive for people to settle it. The four types change every game so you wont know until you reach the new world shores.
Some other things i have done:
- increased the old world land and total luxuries. You should have enough space and happiness for your core cities based on my tests.
- There is a min of 2 coastal water tiles around any land mass. I figured this would reduce the frustation of early naval scouting
- Put in some code to prevent "ice blocking" at the poles ie you can sail around anything.
A couple of other things/features you might want to know before playing
- There might or might not be a continent accessible to the north or south of the old world. Australia does contain New World Lux so do scout in the water
- New World Lux can sometimes spawn on desert or oasis. Based on the num of luxuries it shouldnt be an issue but pls dont be alarmed.
- I dont really know if this will work for anything more than 8 players, in theory it can go up to 13 but please dont get angry if you explore the new world and dont find anything.
