Upgrading units, visual error

Ok so I'm playing as Greece, I send an archer back into my territory to upgrade because I recently got machinery so I could upgrade to xbows. I also had a worker on that tile, and he was building an improvement. When I upgraded it to xbow, it seemed fine, then the next turn I moved it to get back into the war I was waging. The xbow itself seemed fine, but the archer Icon remains in the tile where I did the upgrading.

edit: also I cannot select it either just fyi, but when I mouse over it, it says Greek Archer...

I had this earlier as well, upgrading an archer into a longbow with England. After clicking on it (which seemed to do nothing) I ended the turn, and then it disappeared. However, I only noticed this icon a few turns after I'd upgraded and moved the longbow away, so it must have been there for a while
