I have been thinking a bit recently (it happens) and what’s on my mind is how would the performance of certain civs change if they were different colour and thus shared slots with different civs. As an example, what if the Germans were grey and the Mongols were blue instead?
First thing that comes to mind is that the Germans will be able to spawn together with the French, which would make the Earth map even more crowded in Europe; the Indians and the Chinese (assuming they both spawn) would get a counterweight in the shape of the Mongols—almost equidistantly from both civs. What am I missing, what else would change if the Germans and the Mongols were swapped?
Which civs would you swap and which changes to the gameplay would that bring?
