I don't understand. What's the difference between BUG, BAT, BULL, and BUFFY?

BUG - Interface Improvements.
BAT - Art & Graphics.
BULL - DLL for more detailed tooltips, and other nice improvements. Contains UOP so isn't 100% unaltered.
BUFFY - BUG for HOF/GOTM games.
