You cant put an athlon in a box geared for a pentium chip and unless you have a transitional board you cant put ddr on a board geared for sdram.

that´s why i said him to byu a new processor (and, obviously a new mobo)

you can get a really cheap kit, sell your parts, get the money and buy

One thing I notice on your system It not saying if it a celeron or not. Which could mean a big differnce in speed. But best bet I would wait untel after the holidays.
