Why can´t I play multiplayer-games?

I tried several times to connect with a friend, but we couldn´t see each other´s games in the games-list/internet-lobby. Is FFH 2 not designed for mulitplayer-games or is there an other problem? Can anyone help?

I have the same problem, not sure if it's universal or just common. Anyway the solution is to connect using Direct IP, so the person joining will have to know the IP address of the host. If you're playing on LAN then that IP will be the local one assigned by your router, otherwise it will be the external one assigned by your ISP.

My friend and I use Gamespy and have had this problem before. You have to remove all of FFH2 and reinstall the main file, most recent patch, and if you want the media files.

From what we can guess, it has something to do with how you update your patches.

If you're playing over the internet, just use Hamachi.
