Is that a Mongolian unit on the bottom at 0:59?

Looks like it, there´s a Dutch naval unit in the upper right corner too

Yeah, that's surely Broadway.

Note the unit being produced in Lisbon at 0:45. I'm supposing that it's a modern graphic for the Cargo Ship.

By the way, on my laptop with the latest patch, AI units do move when the "Turn Processing" has already moved on to the next player. I don't know if that's new, but I have noticed it.

You seem to be able to get a lot of trade routes. Portugal had at least 12 in the screen they showed.

Those were Potential Trade routes (given the size of the scroll bar there were probably about 100 or so)

The sign on the far right was probably for Potential Trade routes that you were actually using.

There's an odd detail. Maybe all civs aren't X Empire anymore, but change depending on... policy trees/titles, maybe?

I think that it's a possibility that titles change depending upon your ideology. This is cool, if true, but I'm not impressed by what seems likely to be the specific titles.

I assume it requires the other civ to agree before u can do a trade route, right?

As far as we know, it doesn't.

I don't think so....
However, you probably have to be at Peace with them.. and possibly have Open borders.

But I am certain they don't approve each route on a case by case basis.

(Each route has a sender and a receiver... the sender is the one in control, and uses up their limited trade routes... A city can receive an infinite number of civs)

I don't think Open Borders are necessary since you won't be able to have any routes with other civs until you get Civil Service.

I see they used Germany again in one of their videos. I know it's probably nothing, but I do feel Germany is going to get some sort of overhaul.

Also, does the East India Company replace the National Treasury?

I agree, the Autocracy tenet seems to duplicate the upgrade a Panzer gets. (with additional ignore ZOC)

I'm hoping they change that; having to wait for Open Borders until the Medieval era really sucks.

It appear so, yes.

That would be cool. I love the dynamic names in RFC DOC so it would be awesome to have it in Civ5. United Socialist States of America, Pansalvic Union, Airstrip One, etc

Having open borders gives you a bonus to trade with that civ, not a requirement

For those that don't want to spend too much time choosing their trade routes, there's this screen:

Just order it by income, select whichever is on top, and go on your merry way! :D
Those that wish to carefully choose their trade routes can also study the ones available to them. They can easily see all the effects each trade route has, so they can tailor them for diplomatic, religious, or scientific benefits.

I wonder what's the last column however...

I would guess that the last column is turns left for that particular route.

Holy cow. Look at the discrepancy between the gold Portugal is earning per trade route vs. the parter. 20 : 2.

As I understand, initiator gets more by default. Plus nation bonus plus every other bonus they could get. But impressive, yes.

Zorostranism seems to be Assyria's preferred religion.

Also, Braga seems to exert twice as much pressure as the other routes for some reason.
