Just joined. I am confused, Steam ID is either "erischild" or "nobody". I think the ID is erischild and "nobody" is my standard player name in-game.

So, because VALVe got a number of people over the months who have asked if they could PURCHASE items in TF2 instead of crafting or getting them randomly, VALVe is going to offer that as an alternative. Ingame items will be available for sale using the new Steam Wallet (the money in the Steam Wallet can be used to buy anything else on Steam too). Some community items will be included with compensation to the creators of the items every tiem someone buys their item.
THANKFULLY all the items will also be obtainable in game for free.

A: There are not currently any plans to make this distinction visible to other players. However, purchased items are not currently tradeable or craftable, so there's still a benefit to earning your items "the old fashioned way".

Have to say, this makes me very sad. Not least because they managed to schedule the update to occur on the same day as my ETF2L highlander match...
But I can't help but think that this is gonna go the same way a combat arms. Luckily, i think i should be able to convince me server admin to ban specific hats from the wearable options.

I got a scotsman's stovepipe and and prussian pickelhaube... i think i'd quite like a tyrant's helm for either. I'd listen to other offers, as i don't really play medic or demo too much these days.

Greatest trade ever:
Some guy traded me a Camera Beard for my last Vintage Huntman (In order to make the new sniper weapon).
Then I traded 2 scrap metals for a new Vintage Huntsman.
So essentially, 2 scrap metal for a Camera Beard. Seems like a good deal to me.
