I didn't have any places on C: since a few years... so i can't install mods
the main problem, for us, the rest of the world, is that 100 turns is really short...
You can't start a war with catapult and cavalry except in the last few turns...
You may only have one or two dozen of turns to move your finally complete expedition corp in order to have a taste of the new...
the 3 hour possible delay is a way to say that if you can't get it at the 0-hour... because of any problem that can occur, you don't have to rush the forum, the reporting system in the minute...
There may be some slow release or even a crash but they will do their best in order to provide you...
clearly for me except maybe the esthetical part of the road network, there is no valid reason to limit the number of roads...maybe in USA or in such land with only a few century of wheel based civilization, it can be thinkable but here in europe, roads are everywhere.

there is no other scaling in the maintenance cost so it is not easy to obtain more ressources as you nearly can't maintain an empire that will have a bigger size than on a huge map.
