    If you want the civs to be more or less on par with you, try putting them on teams. I recently did a game starting in the Pre-historic Era, with teams of 2. I was playing with JFD's civs as well, and they work well with CCTP. My team is only slightly ahead in some research, while behind in others.

    I personally would like settlers and laborers to have 1 movement, and give settlers +1 movement later on. Also, the cost of them should be increased to stop mass colonization in the Pre-Historic era. Each city should give -4 to -6 happiness to balance that out as well. Those are just my...

    AI - CCTP and starting era

    From my experiences Classical works best for the AI. They seem to colonize, build armies and found religions like normal. Later eras tend not to work as well due to the amount of buildings, but that doesn't really bother me. So I'd say Ancient or Classical are recommended? I'm not an expert so... ;)

    Alright, I've gotten the logs from my most recent crash. The game tends to crash after starting to build Rock Paintings or a Monument. I am using all expansions and DLCs. I am playing on King, Huge, Random Civ, Standard speed, starting in Ancient and Random Map. Game crashes at about 20-25 turns in.
