More Modern and Future Era Content.

Ok, what about just playing with Science Victory turned off? I do that a lot anyway.

More Modern and Future Era Content.

The future era has all of three and a half technologies and one unit besides ship parts, that unit is the GDR, it is basically just super-cavalry that requires 2 Uranium instead of a horse. Not that interesting. This is an idea for a mod / update / expansion / Civ VI feature that contains...

    Are nukes underpowered?

Air-dropped Atomic Bombs do about the right damage. Maybe they should do a pinch more so that they can zero the health of a city of 8 or so. They should also delete buildings randomly. Nuclear Missiles (H-bombs) on the other hand do not, the firestorm afterward should kill a decent fraction...

As a old player of CIV series for 15 years, I have to say CIV5 is the worst

I believe that '92 makes you an early adopter. As does '96 for that matter, remember that Civ II was brand-new in '96. Civ III took until 2002, Civ IV came in 2005, and Civ V in 2010. LOL, even Civ I was only a year old in '92. Anyhow, "been playing for 17 years" is not synonymous with n00b.

This is fun. Modern Armor vs. Spearman

In Civ V, it is possible to defeat any unit in one turn by surrounding it with archers, artillery, cities or what have you. Anything with a ranged attack ought to be able to kill any unit in the game so long as 10 are in range at any given time. Even a GDR can be defeated in a single turn by six...

    Computers in 2100 AD

~2010: Netbooks start to become practical in terms of computing power/price ratio. Smartphones become wide-spread replacing the majority of other new phones bought. Large laptops are hardly more expensive than spec-for-spec comparable desktops at the low-end consumer range ($500-$1000)...

The History of the Earth: 2000 - 3000 AD

One: communism Vs. capitalism and socialism vs. free market will be remembered, but it won't be just today, that would probably be discussed in small bouts of change over the last and the next couple centuries. two: Empires: American and European cultural dominance will definitely be...

    Other civilizations don't build cities

IDK why, kinda ironic, but Mongolia seems to be in this category 3 times out of 4. Them and the Aztecs. On the other hand, my current game was, until I jumped to the top of the lists using industrial era artillery , There were 4 civilizations who seemed to have built and conquered their...

    Seaside start a disadvantage?

Seaside starts also rarely block off any land, meaning you can quite quickly be restricted to 3 or 4 cities next to one or more giant empires. On land, this is usually preventable by making sure they don't go around you, but next to the ocean, you could be pretty seriously trapped on the edge of...

Earth Map - Player Start Locations

I think a scenario where the world is approximately correctly divided could work. Assuming we want modern reality, we just have to transpose a few countries and duplicate others. For example, Songhai, Egypt, and whoever else get Africa, but there would be like 3 duplicates of Songhai in Africa...
