@Plotinus: I love how the death animation came out.
Does 3ds max use a higher color scale than say poser when it renders? Cuz when i render poser units, and convert to 256 colors, i dont get the color disparity you see here is the green smoke.
yes that is correct, I already rendered the other animation and so just decided to change the civ color because i chose an off explosion color instead of re-rendering everything. Should still work just fine in the game
The Barsoomian Flyer is finally done for the Steampunk MOD. I apologize for the delay, but I have been swamped with school and military duties. With the help of Tom (finalized the palettes) I can now post it!
This is my first unit with 3ds Max, completely done in 3ds max...I'm proud of...
it could be a palette issue. GIMP uses a custom GIMP palette. I explained some of it in my palette tutorial in the tutorials section if you want to use that as a jumping off point.

haha, i am swamped...havent been able to pump out that unit yet...still have palette issues...for some reason it always puts a white outline along the civ color regions in the unit...
so im having some tough time with my smoke anim palettes....i'll post the files and hope someone helps...i have all the other one done though....just this one doesnt work for some reason....
I want the yellow to be civ color btw.

ok, so here is the updated version, I think its all good...so if no one sees anything thats wrong or needs to be changed...i'll go ahead and start working on the palettes tomorrow
so here's what I have so far...and quite possibly might be it for this unit...just have palettes to go now...but those are now easy :) Let me know what you guys think so far
