I hope they download a demo first before buying, as if you don't like it you cannot sell or give to someone else. I think that it is clear this game is not what a notable fraction hoped and/or is just not compelling due to the simplification/design choices. Some will get the demo and love it...

Despite a great deal of Civ and a fair amount of CIV experience, I must admit I do not understand when you use or not use whipping.... (using pop to complete builds under "slavery") . For the most part i simply do not whip. I tend to believe, possibly falsely, the bigger is better for cities...
